It’s with a heavy heart that I’m posting about this awful and ongoing issue with resale wigs on Facebook! As a community, we are so blessed to have our “hair-loss” and “wig” groups for much needed support, but they lost come with unforeseen risks to the new or un-aware buyers. Although the group monitors try very hard to block the scammers, they are very tricky and find ways to sneak back in. Sadly, there are also group started by the scammers themselves! So, how does a newbie protect themselves? First, ALWAYS use PayPal Goods & Services, unless you have a personal relationship with the seller and know you can trust them!! Also, do your research on the seller. Look at their account to be sure it looks legit! Additionally, reach out to group monitors and other ladies in the community to see if they know the seller! We need to work together to keep our community safe.
If you are one of the victims from such an ugly crime, please letting the community know to help protect others. You can make an anonymous post or reach out to a group monitor privately if you feel uncomfortable making your experience public.
